Class exploring our hip mobility!

Festive block recording - 12.12.22

Week 1 of exploring Joseph Pilates' original repertoire and order of exercises - we have been layering and working to our own level but pushing and exploring body shapes.

Scooters and leg lifts to really work the glutes! Plus some fun flows (including some tricep work) and full body movements to get the whole system working together!

Lots of lovely squats, some full body flows and even some "boat" rowing! Balancing in V-Sits and some awesome ab work in almost every move!

A short workout exploring cat/cow stretch and mobilising the spine.

Neck and Shoulder releases to help relieve tight upper body.

Mini mobilising warm up for the neck, shoulders and spine.

An advanced inner thigh stretch sequence with hip openers. Only for those with no issues with their hips/knees/joints. Not for the faint - hearted or faint - hipped!

A 20 minute standing Pilates session to strengthen the quads, hamstrings, calves and glutes. Balance work to keep you stabilised and steady.

Today we included a sequence including the 3 S's - Spine Stretch, Saw and Scissors (i realise that's 4 S's but you're getting a bonus one!). Enjoy! x
